The Pigeon

New York-based singer/songwriter Jeffrey Lewis published his brilliant parody of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven on YouTube yesterday.

Lewis has substituted the raven of ill-omen for an ill-mannered pigeon, relocated the scene to an apartment on the Lower East Side, and taken poetic licence with the verse by sprinkling it with dozens of Yiddishisms.

The result is one of the funniest things I’ve heard in a long while! XD
