Lewis has substituted the raven of ill-omen for an ill-mannered pigeon, relocated the scene to an apartment on the Lower East Side, and taken poetic licence with the verse by sprinkling it with dozens of Yiddishisms.
The result is one of the funniest things I’ve heard in a long while! XD
- Saturday Morning Shakespeare: A recently-discovered folio of Shakespeare’s Hamlet features a dramatic intervention by Scooby and the Gang in the climactic Act V, Scene II. Outstanding parody and in rhyming couplets too! 🙂
